Transgender, nonbinary, intersex, and two-spirit people — especially transgender youth — face vicious, exponentially escalating attacks on the right to access medically necessary healthcare. Over 300 anti-LGBTQ bills were introduced in the 2022 legislative session, and 19 states have banned or attempted to ban life-saving best-practice medical care.

Only a coordinated response will turn the discriminatory tide.

Contributions to the L4GG Action Fund support our direct political advocacy on issues that are critical to L4GG’s values, such as advancing LGBTQ+ rights. Through the Action Fund, we are able to be on the front lines advocating for policies at the local, state, and federal level to protect access to life-saving medical care for all, regardless of their identity.

Beyond transgender rights, the core right to privacy between a patient and their doctor is something that must be preserved, and L4GG’s base of pro bono lawyers and coalition partners have the experience and expertise to advocate for these critical issues.
