When fighting for good government, direct political advocacy is crucial to ensuring protections for marginalized communities, advancing equity, and defending all of our civil and human rights. With November quickly approaching, we have limited time to seize this opportunity to mobilize and educate for real political change.

Our Sustaining Members fuel L4GG’s Action Fund, the 501(c)4 arm of Lawyers for Good Government, which supports our efforts to proactively address injustice at the state and local level. Will you make a monthly pledge to protect democracy?

We are still dealing with the devastating aftereffects of the 2016 election on a daily basis, and as we approach a monumentally important election this fall, the Action Fund will advocate for candidates, policies, and legislation that will be essential in reversing the damages done by previous administrations and the current Supreme Court.

Beyond election season, the Action Fund works year round to:

  • Produce The State Legislative Advocacy Academy (SLAA), our training program that provides tailored education to lawyers and law students on how to fight for systemic change in their home states to ensure more equitable and just communities. Specifically, SLAA provides expert insight on how lawyers can use their existing skills to become powerful agents of change.

  • Support advocacy groups ranging from grassroots to national in scope on specific legislative issues like racial justice, LGBTQ+ rights, reproductive justice, immigrants rights, climate change and environmental justice, government accountability and the rule of law, the Supreme Court and other judicial nominations, voting rights, and more.
