2025 New Opportunities
1. Take L4GG’s Volunteer Survey
L4GG is mobilizing a large quantity of lawyers to help respond to incoming threats to civil and human rights, environmental protection, and more. We need to know who is with us and what resources to count on. Let us know your skills, expertise, and availability so we can map out who’s ready to help.
Filling out the survey will help us better understand the availability of volunteer resources as policies change or new programs are announced. Together, we can take bold and strategic action.
2. Protect Federal grantees in Climate and environmental justice
🚨 $300 billion in federal climate & infrastructure funding is under attack. The current administration is stalling, terminating, and investigating grantees, especially nonprofits, Tribal governments, and organizations engaged in environmental justice work.
Our Fund Protection Clinic (FPC) is launching a pro bono legal support initiative to help grantees fight back against improper funding delays and investigations.
Who can volunteer: Licensed attorneys - training will be provided! Experience in administrative law, government contracts, federal investigations, or compliance is helpful but not necessary.
Commitment levels: Each consultation should take approximately 10-15 pro bono hours between training, research for your client meeting, and follow-up. Choose your level of involvement - help with 1 case or 10+.
3. Protect asylum seekers with project corazon
3.7 million immigrants are in proceedings, and 2.5 million of them have no lawyers. Many are eligible for asylum but lack the legal support to file their applications, putting them at higher risk of deportation.
L4GG’s nationwide Asylum Bridge Project is launching to provide remote, limited-scope legal assistance to asylum seekers filing I-589 applications.
20-hour pro bono commitment
Volunteers receive full training - no immigration experience required!
Indicate Your Interest in Volunteering Here. L4GG will be in touch ~April 2025 as the project launches.
