Help Lawyers for Good Government raise critically needed funds between now and December 3, 2019

Your willingness to help with L4GG’s Giving Tuesday campaign means so much. We know that with your help, we can raise the funds required to continue serving thousands of asylum seekers each year.

Here’s how you can get started:

Below is a summary of the steps to create a Facebook fundraiser and make it really successful. We have more detailed instructions available, if this is your first time doing a Facebook fundraiser.

  1. Create an UNselfie using our template (print, write your message and take a selfie while holding your sign)

  2. Create a Facebook fundraiser and choose Lawyers for Good Government as the beneficiary. Click this link to get started - the link will open in Facebook with L4GG pre-selected

  3. Choose an ambitious but achievable goal - $500 sends a lawyer to the border for a week, and $1,500 provides safe, warm indoor meeting space for asylum seekers in Matamoros for a month. If you reach your goal early in the day you can increase it!

  4. When Facebook asks you to upload your cover image, use your UNselfie to use for your fundraiser

  5. Invite your friends and family using the Facebook tools. Go big!

  6. Post your fundraiser link on all your social media, and email your friends and family. Ask everyone to donate.

  7. Thank your donors right away and tag them on Facebook
